The man's X GF will be at the fair tonight with her kids and another one of my reaaaalllyyyy old friends from HS, haven't seen her in ...mmm, 16 years now.   Actually, I was aquantencences with his X in HS too. So this should be reallllly interesting.

Small town fairs bring out the past. Can't say the finest, but definately the past.

*hmm, what to wear, what to wear*

Well something slamin', that's for sure!   Wink

We were at my hometown county fair last night too.  I don't think it gets any better than a fair in the Midwest.

VERY short cut offs and a shirt very casually tied above your waist.

With your bod, you can get away with it.

Last fair I went to was a couple of years out of high school and at my home town. I had gone to live in NYC, gone to the Fashion Institute of Technology to learn fashion art illustration which I came to hate but I was hot stuff and knew it.

My best friend and I had to park way out and as we were walking across the dirt and dirt-ee parking lot toward the fair, we saw a middle aged woman headed toward us. She was pushing a stroller and dragging another snotty nosed kid who was crying ad screaming. I can still remember that she wore a big baggy white shirt and had big baggy boobs bouncing around in there.

My friend and I were insufferably snotty and uppity and sort of snickered at each other - no way we would end up like that old woman with the bratty kids.

Then it hit us both at about the same time that the "middle aged woman" had been in our graduating class, had been a cheerleader, dated and married the big time football player - the whole package.

It ain't always what its cracked up to be.

So? How'd it go?

Well, it was an evening of the mans X's actually.   Cheesy

His sis and I and her kidlets were by the rides (of course) and I turned around and saw this girl that the man has pointed out a couple of times in the past to me. So I turn to his sis and say there's his X gf, and she says I know. She goes over and talks to her.  lol... I was like ok, I'll watch the kids. She comes back and I said, ya know...he's never told me what her name was. She said Jennie.  So then I texted him saying it was an evening full of your x's... he replies back "no fights".  lol... Cheesy
So little while later, his sister texted him that I needed bail money. My phone rings and I just play it out that I'm in some back tent behing 'held' and I need bail money for fighting. lol.... Cheesy  oh I'm such a snot!  I had him for a bit. Then he was like "oh, why are you on your phone? They let you have your phone?"

It was nice to chat with the girls from HS. Gosh I feel old. And I must say they've put on a  few. Which was suprising compared to what they looked like in school.  I guess marriage/kids will do that!

"no fights" ?

Jeeez.

Reminded me of when my ex and I flew to his son's wedding. Ex's first wife had very kindly gotten a corsage for me so I matched both "real" mothers. I thought it was very thoughtful of her and when she gave mine to me, she pinned it on and I pinned her's on.

We just happened to be at the front of this enormous catholic church when we did this and it was possibly the very first time I met her.

Later, ex said his first glimpse of us was that it looked like we each had our hands around the other's throat ...

She and I always got along okay. Never any outright arguments although I always did wonder how the heck they ended up with each other.

Since they had two kids, I'm pretty sure they had to have had sex at least twice. But maybe not ...

Anyway, glad it was uneventful. Last thing I would ever want is to have a difficult relationship with an out-law.
